The song I used for the show is the ballad "Legends of the Fall" and this version by performed by the 2000 Southwind. A very similar arrangement was used by my former high school band (the Trumbull HS Golden Eagle Marching Band) in their 2002 show "Waterdance." Although I did not march in that show, it's very special to me and the band and is one of the songs that connects both old and current members. Despite a great show, the band placed only second in Class 4 (Class 5 being the highest) so that year eventually became motivation for the band until we won our first ever Class 5 and Connecticut State Championship in 2006, and then repeated the feat in 2007.
