This is the opening hit for a drum corps show I'm writing (just for fun, not professional). The Show is called "EARTH." This is the opening of movement one, entitled "United We Stand." This opening peice is an original composition by me, called "Unite!"

What do you like? What don't you like? Do keep in mind that I'm fourteen and have minimal knowledge of music theory.

Make the 16th notes more stacatto and bring them out more, other than that its really good!

It's good, but the first trumpet part is a tad extreme range-wise, for the beginning of a show. But, I really liked it!

Could make a good warm up... chords line up and that's what's important.

My personal opinion is that it would sound more dramatic and a bit slower and in a 12/8 feel... The tutti ensemble should be a dramatic climax! Big impact there, with plenty of wailing melophones countering the melodic line (drum corps arranging secret)... dont be afraid to play around with some dissonant chords countering upper brass! Might want to bring the trumpets down an octave... its a tad on the higher range... with full ensemble, trumpets sound best in their upper mid ranges.
