DCI or bugle corps

I was wondering if there are DCI who arent really expensive. Also i was wondering if there is a small bugle corps group or something like that in FL. I live in Ruskin,Fl about an hour from Tampa. I am a guard and i would like to get some experience.

Most drum corps are going to be about the same price. If you want "cheap", try a DCA corps or a junior corps that only does half tour. Teal Sound is in Florida, but I don't about DCA corps in Florida. If you want to march really badly, you have to be willing to travel a couple hours.

Tampa Bay Thunder is a DCA (Drum Corps Associates) all-age corps. Here's their website for more info: tampabaythunder.org According to their FAQ page, the first season (this season) is free, but you'll be required to fund raise $250 for the corps.

What is the difference between Bugle corps. and DCI corps?

^When I think of bugle, I think of the old school G bugles, like you see in DCA.

DCI corps don't use bugles, at least that's how I view it.

Even G bugles in DCA are slowly becoming extinct. When I marched Hurricanes in 2009, I believe everyone of the top 5 or 7 corps were on Bb.
Thanks and does the Tampa Bay thunder has guard members? Because im a guard. I dont play instruments.

Another DCA corps in Florida are the Sun Devils, from North Port, but they’re an A Class corps, so you would have to check and see if they have a guard. Depending on where in Florida you live, there’s also two DCA corps in Atlanta - CorpsVets and Alliance. Both are Open Class, and I know that both have guards.

I also know that Boston Crusaders hold most or all of their camps in the Tampa area, and I’ve heard that they’re relatively inexpensive for a World Class corps - somewhere around $2400, and yes that sounds a lot, but cheap considering the fact of an average World Class corps is around $2900 - $3100.
