South Alabama Sound

South Alabama Sound was founded on Friday, July 24th, 2009, in preparation for the 2009-2010 ABC circuit. South Alabama Sound is currently tied for 3rd place overall in the circuit with "Las Panteras de Salem.
Their colors are Red, Gold, and Blue, but their uniforms vary from show to show, due to the limited numbers of options for non-subscribers.

Purpose:
Our purpose is to create an understanding among the Marching arts community, and the general public, of the quality and difficulty of the extreme sport known as Drum and Bugle Corps, and to spread the knowledge of this sport to every community and city across the world, to show the real importance of musical competition and enjoyment; to uphold the long standing tradition of excellence in all that we do, and to use our musical talents and abilities to uplift our savior; to show everyone that, despite long held stereotypes and ridicule, we can accomplish anything together; that we are physically, mentally, and emotionally strong, and that we can bring such an outpouring of emotion as to make an entire stadium full of several thousands of people, scream, cheer, clap, yell, shout, and weep at the joyous things we create. Our purpose is not to put on a show, or to entertain; our purpose is to march onto that field with an emotional intensity unrivaled by anything else on this earth, and to leave that field with nothing left; our purpose is to make you feel what we feel, see what we see, and to place into your heart such a feeling of emotion, that you would never be the same again...
