The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, were two Americans who are generally credited with inventing and building the world's first successful airplane and making the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air human flight, on December 17, 1903.
Some symbolism seen in the show- an airplane for what they invented, and the year 1903, the year they first took flight. Also, the green and yellow uniforms are the colors of Wright State University, the college named after the brothers which is located in Dayton, OH.
