Phantom Regiment - Euph Feature
Sounds like it'll be G-A-G (the rest is up to you). From there.
The next phrase starts with F-Gb-F-Eb-Db-C-Db-G-Ab-Bb-C-Db
that should help since from there on out its basically a sequence. And the last triplets of the end of the 2 phrases aren't right, its close though =)
It's also in 6/8 and not 4/4.
And when I say the last triplets and the end of the 2 phrases, specifically I mean the F#-G-A-D arpeggio. Those aren't correct.
^concur..
Our PR 09 Euph has spoken :)
Thanks for everybody's help, it helped me a lot!
Send me it if you want to see how close you are to the original, I'll keep helping you out.
Since the feature is so short, I just decided I would write it out myself. Here you go:
noteflight.com/scores/view/b2a7ca6fba048ea6840878f... It took me about 6 minutes total. I have a good ear =P
^^^win.
^WIN! :D Now, to transcribe to Bass clef... :)
close, but the arpeggios at bars 4 and 8 are wrong.
And the beginning of the next phrase doesn't go down a step from the first to second note. and check the articulations too. (slurred vs tongued)
^Even more of a win lol
There are some accidentals missing in the middle section of that^
@ Steve - I've changed it a bit, but I wasn't really worried about the articulations, just the notes. =)
@Rob - All of the notes are exactly as they appear in the youtube video, so unless I'm looking at the wrong video, they all are correct.
errrr Shawn, aren't those supposed to be Low F's and pedal F's? And I played it by ear on my trombone, sounds like they are Low F's... But I don't know, let Steve handle it aha
*EDIT* Whoops, I just clicked onto Show in Concert Pitch... And it looks better now, to read lol
I can help out with notes for this tomorrow.. :D We just played the Fantasy Variations here a couple semesters ago. I'll get the score from my conductor.
EDIT: [Just found my bassoon part (1st Bassoon plays the same part)] Shawn, you pretty much have this dead on man. Two changes should be made, though, on beat one in both measures 9 and 11, in the consecutive F's and Eb's, which should be F-Gb-F and Eb-F-Eb, respectively. [In concert pitch of course].
Erwin this is awesome:D Let me know when your finished:P
Thanks David. I'll get that changed. It was really hard to tell some of the passages from the youtube video. Even though it was played clean as lysol, It's still hard to hear the notes because they're really too short to sound fully on a larger brass instrument like a euph.

Thanks in advance, Erwin.
